Psycho-analysing AI
This piece uses the famous Rorschach test to show the difference between Humans and AI.
With this piece we can see how AI responds to the ink blots in contrast of humans. How different are the answers? How is AI aware of these abstract shapes based on its internal knowledge of the world?
The test is generally used to analyse patients’ thought process (explains how they perceive things) therefore, in a way we would see the AIs thought process by the way it answers.
After seeing how the AI captions the inkblots, using AttGan and those same captions the AI will generate new images. Based on the responses and the generated images the AI gives, we will be able to understand how it perceives things. We will see the inkblots through the eyes of AI, its perspective of them.
