Shadows of Presence

Shadows of Presence is an interactive installation that explores the dissolution of boundaries between material and immaterial, self and other. Two physical objects anchor the space, yet it is through light, projections, and shadows that an intangible world emerges — a world that cannot be touched, only experienced.

Participants are invited to sit within the installation and play with their own reflected silhouette. As their shadow encounters a mirrored double, a subtle dialogue unfolds: the self becomes multiplied, questioned, dissolved. What appears solid slips into the ephemeral; what feels individual merges into a wider field of awareness.

In this way, the work functions as both portal and mirror — not into a constructed identity, but into the quiet spaciousness that remains when form and thought dissolve. By juxtaposing material presence with immaterial reflection, the installation offers a contemplative experience of stepping beyond ego into presence, perception, and the fluid interplay of being.
